Jenna Pesano is a photographer and educator based in Indiana. She shoots a diverse range of subjects, with a passion for adventure, outdoor sports, and the natural world.
Jenna was born and raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Coming from a family of artists, she first picked up a camera at a very young age. At 18, she was gifted her own film camera, a Minolta SRT201 (that she still uses today). She then attended college at School of Visual Arts, in New York City, where she was awarded the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship for her work. While in school, Jenna focused on traditional black and white darkroom techniques, and alternative photographic processes. She loved working with large format cameras to capture the beauty of the landscape around her. Jenna completed her B.F.A in Fine Art Photography in 2012. Since then, she has worked on many projects, and traveled to many countries. Her work has been published in Field and Stream magazine, where she interned, as well as the NSS News monthly magazine. Jenna has always had a boundless passion for the outdoors, which is reflected in her work. Her desire to explore has lead her to many extraordinary places. In turn, these places have left her with an appreciation for our natural world, that for her, only photography can express. Jenna is now residing in Indiana, where she is a photography teacher. As of 2023, she is beginning a new project documenting the rural American Midwest.
